The Rotor Riot Facebook Group Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Rotor Riot Facebook Group! A place for people to connect, be inspired and learn. Before posting, please ask yourself these questions...

  1. Will this post bring people together?

  2. Will someone learn something from what I'm about to post?

  3. Will this post inspire others?

  4. Is this post on topic for the multirotor community?

In this group respect is more important than accuracy. If you feel it's justifiable to speak to people in a disrespectful manner because you don't agree with their logic or information they are sharing, I'd rather you not join this group.

These forums are here to provide you with a friendly environment where you can discuss ideas, give, or receive advice, and engage in intellectual meaningful conversations about the world of multirotors. Our group is at its best when participants treat fellow members with respect and courtesy. Please conduct yourself in a civilized manner when participating in this group.

The guidelines and rules listed below explain what behavior is expected of you and what behavior you can expect from other community members. Note that the following guidelines are not exhaustive, and may not address all manner of offensive behavior. We can not promise you won’t be offended. As such, the forum moderators shall have full discretion to address any behavior that they feel is inappropriate.

Your access to this group is a “privilege,” and not a “right.” Rotor Riot moderators reserves the right to suspend your access to this group at any time for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to abide by these guidelines. We reserve the right to evaluate each incident on a case by case basis. The action we take may be more lenient or more severe based on the moderator's judgment.

Members that engage in any of the following actions, will be evaluated by the group moderators. Upon evaluation, the offending member may be warned or removed from the group.

Intentional Disrespect or Objectification - Treating a person as a commodity or an object without regard to their personality or dignity is not cool. Tearing people down with the intent to hurt them or engaging in anger fueled insults towards other members or groups of people will have repercussions. We value all people and want to minimize the actions that attack their value as a human.

Harassing or Defamatory remarks. Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific member with harassment can lead to banishment.

Racial or ethnic hatred will not be tolerated.

Inappropriate Sexuality or Pornography - Anything that is primarily sexual or provocative in nature doesn’t have a place here. Inappropriate reference to human anatomy or bodily functions.

Extreme Violence - Any content that glorifies violent behavior is not relevant to this group.

Threats or Malice - Threats of violence or harmful actions in any capacity. Releasing any confidential information about others without their consent. Insultingly referring to any aspect of sexual orientation pertaining to other members.

Major Religions or Religious Figures - Negatively portray major religions or religious figures

Promote national hatred - Allude to symbols of national hatred

Spamming or Trolling - Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish with the intent to annoy people. Creating irrelevant threads for the sole purpose of causing arguments in the group. Picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters. Making non-constructive posts. Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages.

Blocking Admins will result in removal from the group.

Irrelevant Advertising - Any non-beneficial, related businesses, organizations, websites or products. It’s ok to post something a member believes will be beneficial to the group. However, if the member responses to the post are negative, the post may be deleted by a group moderator.

Fighting fire with fire - If a member breaks a rule, or insults you, does not give you the right to break a rule for the sake of justice. Just because someone else “did it first” will not indemnify you from your inappropriate actions.

Posting Commercial / For Sale / Sales / Affiliate posts without express permission is not permitted. Posting relevant links with the intention of helping someone else is okay, but do not use Affiliate, Commission, or shortened links!
